With the naked eye: Sopron and Northern Burgerland

Continuing education

Study trip (further training) organized by the Architect Further Training

Dear Participant!

Architect Continuing Education has previously launched a number of professional study trips abroad, which have been successful with great interest for years. In recent months, of course, these trips have been paused, but our plans and enthusiasm remain unchanged, and we sincerely hope that we will soon be able to make up for the longer, more distant journeys we have missed, as well as apply for new ones.

We are grateful for the encouragement of our former fellow travelers to continue. We don’t even see if we can reach our flying distances in the second half of this year or just next year. However, we don’t want the experience of joint discovery, the joy of time spent with our loyal frequent flyers, to be completely ignored this year.

We also owe it, because in recent years we have reached innumerable distant or even more distant landscapes and cultural regions, but we have undeservedly neglected the areas of our country in a narrow or historical sense. That’s why we want to give you the opportunity to have an experience with a few shorter new trips within the country or a little across the country. These trips are typically planned for 3-4 days, we travel by bus, and we do not move away so much that even a sudden future interstate travel restriction can cause inconvenience. In addition, we take strict care of health precautions, and we expect this from our partners.

Our first such trip - using a bit of the elements of the previously planned Castles along the Danube - will soon visit the sights of Sopron, the Fertő Cultural Landscape and the Castle District (or Őrvidék, Burgenland). With the expert guidance of Kornél Baliga, we can gain new knowledge that is certainly interesting for those who may have visited one of the places in the program before. The base of our trip is Sopron, returning here every night we can relax from the fatigue of the day and recall our previous trips together.

Date: August 27-30, 2020
